Snow day!!!

Lilly was sure excited to wake up and see all the snow on the ground! She was even more excited when we bundled up and went out for some sledding. She says she has never played in the snow before. I explained to her on snow days, we play in the snow, and stay around in warm pajamas all day by the fireplace. She liked that....and now she wants everyday to be a snow day! It is not often that we get snow around here, so I doubt we will get anymore. It was fun while it lasted!

Thank you for the kind words you left on our blog. Jake has truly been a blessing to our family, and we can't imagine not having him. Your Lilly is a cute girl. It sounds like things are going well for your family. We had snow here, too, but Jake had a cough and stuffed nose so he didn't get to go out and have fun in the snow. Maybe next time!

A few other famous cleft-affected people I found out about online were Doc Holliday, Jason Robards, Tom Brokaw, Jesse Jackson, Stacy Keach, Cheech Marin and Mark Hamill.

Leslee, You posted on a comment I had on RQ over a week ago. I was wondering about an older child. At the time, I didn't want to go into detail, but I was researching a specific child. We have been matched. We are IN LOVE already. I would love to "chat" with you sometime about the actual meeting day & the beginning days of your transition together. She will be 4 1/2 when we get her. I'll give more details later. Thanks so much for reaching out to me. This has been a big transition after a 3 1/2 year wait for an infant. But I am ready to study & prepare for my big girl!!!!
