The Park?

Well today we went in search of the "park" we were told about. I guess in China a park is not the same as in America. We were let out at the "park". All we saw were flowers and a walkway. No slide, no swing, no sand, just flowers...FUN! I guess we will wait till we get home to go to the real park and have some fun. So we walked around awhile. It was 100 million degrees! We did go to Starbucks. It was good. Yin enjoyed Oreos, and we enjoyed coffee. Then just to waste time we took a golf cart ride around the lake that we toured yesterday. After that we had lunch at a Pizza Hut. Then we saw a Toys R Us. It was so fun to watch Yin's face light up when she saw all the toys. The Toys R Us here, is small. Very small. Wait till she gets home!

All is well and good! We fly from here to Guangzhou tomorrow at 11:00, so we will be there around 2. Hopefully it will be more fun than this place!

Oh I about cried before I even read the post, just seeing her in new clothes I knew! YEAH! I think you will feel much better in Guangzhou, everything is just better there. You are closer to home, you will see lots of families, you can eat at the famous Lucys (though personally we do not like it!) You must eat at the Italian place and Cow & Bridge, yum! But it is a little sad to leave Hangzhou and all that it holds to. So many memories..
Praying for you all.

We were so happy too, to get to Guangzhou, although it feels more like you're in Europe, than china. There is a little playground and a park. Ask your guide where it is. And yes, Shannon is right, the Italian restaurant is really good! If you're staying at the White Swan, you'll love the breakfast! Congratulations on the change of clothes! Lilly looks cute and happy!

Yes, yes, yes, you will really enjoy Guangzhou! My favorite place to get something was The Deli by the White Swan. Oh their pastries are wonderful. And they had this grate sandwhich wrapped up in soft wonderful roll type bread. They have a little ice cream place inside it too. Lucy's atmosphere is nice since it has a very American style. The food was OK. Cow & Bridge, very nice. As Shannon said, the Italian place was nice too. It seemed a little too fancy for me but we went in there in our casual clothes. Oh, and I'm sure you'll go to the "Mall". THe pearl market (think jewel mall) is part of several stores in walkable distance from each other and they are HUGE!!!! Hope your flight was good. I was always amazed that we got dinner on every flight in China. Our American airlines are soooo cheap. :-)
